Marquee
Branding and digital design.
Night & Day Difference
Every year Marquee goes through a visual refresh of the art and marketing materials for its Dayclub and Nightclub properties without severly affecting the core branding. For this project I wanted to show the contrast between the two venues, like black and white.
Dayclub
The visuals for Marquee Dayclub needed to be playful, bright and inviting. What better way to portray that feeling than with a duotone watercolor and painterly look. A splash of Marquee's purple and a dab of blue. It's no Van Gogh, but at least you'll be able to enjoy the wonderful EDM music while popping bottles, dancing on tables and taking selfies for your Snaps and Stories.
Nightclub
If Dayclub is the light side, then Nightclub is the dark side. Marquee's Main Room showcases an enormous LED screen above the DJ booth. A flashing multi-colored laser lights show, and cryo and confetti escalate the digital and electronic experience after the drop. The Nightclub art illustrates the digital experience with the flow of wireframe waveforms representing sound, and using a subtle 80's effect on the DJ's portrait with some wireframe visuals bleeding through.
